Burt's Bee Natural Acne Solutions Targeted Spot Treatment review

I LOVE THIS!!! I've tried a lot of acne treatment products but this is definitely the best that I've ever tried. This is my 3rd bottle!!!

This is 100% NATURAL (Natural Products Association certified). I love the fact that it is natural :D
It is a acne treatment that contains salicylic acid(0.75%) derived naturally from willow bark extract which contains natural beta hydroxy acids, which acts as a skin exfoliator to help unclog pores.
It is also formulated with Tea Tree, Calendula, Yarrow, and Parsley Extracts to help calm and reduce redness while Borage Extract promotes healthy skin.

what it claimed
- Clinically proven to help reduce the appearance of blemishes in 48 hours
- Non-irritating
- Soothes skin and reduces redness
- Noncomedogenic

It basically does what it claimed but for the "48hours", it depends on the acne. For huge and cystic acnes, it might need much longer time. For my own experiences, huge and cystic acnes took up to 1 week to disappear, sometimes longer. For normal acnes or pimples, it will takes 2-3days. ANYWAY, the important point is IT WORKS! (well, for me, hehe, everyone is different)
I had sensitive and serious acne skin problems and I tried so many products, some worked for a little while, some even make my skin worst! but this works the best so far!
Yuan soap and this spot treatment were the main products that helped me to get rid of my horrible acnes!

It does not make my skin dry so I can actually apply this right before my makeup and it wont cause any effect such as cakey or makeup doesn't stick on to my skin. It absorbs super quick!
*oh, don't use cotton swabs to apply this, use your clean fingertip or else you'll waste the product!*

Ingredients:
Active Ingredient: Salicylic Acid (0.75%) Inactive Ingredients: alcohol denat., citrus medica limonum (lemon) peel oil, water, calendula officinalis flower extract, achillea millefolium (yarrow) extract, borago officinalis (borage) extractcarum petroselinum (parsley) extract, foeniculum vulgare (fennel) fruit oil, salix nigra (willow) bark extract, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf oil, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, juniperus communis fruit oil.

Price: RM78 at Burt's Bee store (Price might be different at Sephora, I bought it at RM69 but not sure if they increased the price recently because Burt's Bee store increased the price to RM78 from RM68)

Repurchase? Definitely!!! 5STARS for this!

Yuan Soap review - Lemon

YUP YUP YUP~ another Yuan Soap review! haha :D

This is actually a repurchase. I finished the 1st one and it's soooo good that I have to repurchase this!
I finished it during my exam week, it took me 2 weeks to go to the mall(I bought this at midvalley) to repurchase it, had breakouts without this :'(

So, lets get in to the topic!

Lemon soap is for oily skin with large pores.
what it claimed
- brightens skin by removing old/dead skin cells
- tightens pores
- lightens pigmentation
- control sebum production

well... it does what it claimed! or else I wouldn't get another one XD
I noticed that it brightens my skin and my acne scars are less visible now. I have large and clogged pores especially at my nose and cheeks area (I believed that a lot of people are having the same problems), I noticed that my skin is getting better.

However, I don't recommend this to acne skin, but if you have acne-prone skin (like me), maybe you can give it a try :) Because you might want to solve your acne problem first then only you switch to this, just like I did. Normally I will change my skincare when my skin's condition changed.

I also don't recommend this to dry skin.

This soap will be great for people that stay in hot and humid places and need a refreshing soap (like me, in Malaysia =.= HOT! HOT! HOT! )

Dermalogica Gentle Soothing Booster & Ultracalming Cleanser review

I was recommended to both of the products after I did my facial treatment at Aster Spring. It was about a year ago. Both of them are quite costly. I think they're the most expensive products I have ever owned especially Gentle Soothing Booster because it's so small and expensive. haha! I will do both of the products' review but more on the Gentle Soothing Booster :D

Dermalogica Gentle Soothing Booster (30ml)

- it claims to help soothe, hydrate and calm irritation caused by sensitivity and breakouts.

- FREE from artificial colour, fragrance and oil.

- contains Red Raspberry Extracts and Honey to calm and soothe.

- suitable for all skin types.

At first I actually kind of hated it because I thought it just make my face oilier even faster and didn't help with my sensitivity and acne-prone skin. I actually stopped using it for quite a while.
But after that I thought I should give it a chance. so I tried it back, with a lesser amount. I just around 3drops for my whole face. and I just love it! from that 'lesser amount trial', I knew that I should just use a little amount.
It does what it claimed. although my skin is not severe acne skin anymore but it is still very sensitive and acne-prone. For the last few months, my skin is more on combination skin where T-zone is oily and U-zone is dry instead of oily for my whole face. then I started to apply this focus only on my U-zone, I skipped applying this on my T-zone. I used this mostly as my moisturizer in my night skincare routine.
It soothes and calms my redness and also hydrates my U-zone. If I only apply this on my U-zone, I'll just use 2drops. It is quite concentrated, so its enough for me because I hate those thick and heavy moisturizers, I just something very light to lightly hydrate my face.
I especially love to use this after I scrub my face, it feels good!
This small bottle can actually last for a long time (more than 6months according to my usage amount, it can last longer, maybe), it's sad that I almost finish it :(

Price: RM210 (I'm not sure the exact price because I bought this a year ago)

Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Water/Aqua/Eau, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Tilia Cordata Flower Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hypericum Perforatum, Honey (Mel), Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Benzophenone-4, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben.

Ultracalming Cleanser (250ml)

(picture from the internet, I didn't take picture of this)

- it claims to calm the redness from sensitivity.

-FREE from artificial fragrances and colour.

It is gel-like texture. I think yes, it kind of calm and soothe my sensitive skin but it didn't help my acne problem. oh, this can be finished quite fast, it only last me for about 3months.
The staff at Aster Spring told me that this can be used to remove the Averine Cover Spot concealer which I bought there too, so I guess this can remove light makeup such as sunblock as well. Just massage it into the skin and rinse off with warm water or if you're removing makeup, its better that you tissue off with cotton.
I won't repurchase this because I find it quite similar with Physiogel Cleanser, which is a much much much cheaper alternative. They worked almost the same.

Price: RM160 (I'm not sure the exact price for this too)

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Bisabolol, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Salix Alba Bark Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Butylene Glycol , Pentylene Glycol , Hydroxyphenyl , ropamidobenzoic Acid, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Fumaria Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Fumaric Acid, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Panthenol, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, rosspolymer, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Aminomethyl Propanol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Disodium EDTA.

P/S: if you are very concern of what you are putting on your face, then you might want to google up details information about disodium EDTA because both products contained disodium EDTA. However, there are a lot of well known beauty products that contain this chemical too.
But for my personal opinion, I prefer to get products that are more natural because their prices normally are in this range too, so, yeah, I'm not going to repurchase these.

Alcohol allergic

I found out that I have alcohol allergic last week in Chinese New Year. it's not fun at all to have this. after I drank a few cups of alcohol drink, I felt my throat was swollen and experienced a little breathing difficulty but it's just a while because I stopped drinking. I thought that it was just my asthma (not a serious severe asthma).. after I got home, I started to feel itchy around my neck, arms, chest and back, then my skin obviously become red because I scratched them..haha

after 2 days, I went to doctor because it was still very itchy and the redness was still very bad. The doctor wanted to give me an injection as it will heal faster, but I refused, I chose tablets and cream.

yesterday midnight I went out with my friends to celebrate my birthday and I drank a little, btw, my past allergic was still there, SO, yup, it became worst  =,=

it was super red and itchy!! I still feel itchy now.. but it's much better as I applied cream and ate medicine that doctor prescribed for me. I also drank a lot of water to flush everything out.

redness on my back

the redness already reduced half when I took these pictures. still very red but the photo didn't really show it.

So, here are the medicine that my doctor prescribed for me:

Cream

H-CORT cream

apply to the area affected (obviously, haha)
it is not greasy

Tablets

please do go to the doctor ASAP if you experience ANY allergic. everyone maybe different. don't try any medicine without advice from the doctor/pharmacist .

UPDATE:
side effect (skin peeling) that I started to have on my skin within 1-2weeks. I'm guessing its the cream that resulted this because only the skin area that I applied the cream was peeling.

LUCIDOL-L Designing Aqua #Hair Curl Lotion

cute packaging design ^^
Claims:
- protects hair from heat
- as moisturizing agent with Penetrative Hyaluronic acid
- protects hair from UV rays
- prevents split ends
- contains ''spring polymer'' which ensure soft & bouncy curls

It basically does what it claimed, HOWEVER I mainly just used this as heat protectant and moisturizing agent before I blow or iron my hair and to protect my hair from UV. Ensuring soft and bouncy curls are just bonus because I only curl my hair on special occasion. I still use this daily anyway :)  It also doesn't make my hair sticky..

Scent: Green floral (actually I don't mind about the scent, it goes off quick)

Made in Japan
180ml
Price: should be just around RM20 (I forgot the exact price)

THE FACE SHOP Lovely ME:EX Eye Shadow review

I saw these were on sale at THEFACESHOP so I bought a few to try. I never tried TFS eye shadow before, for eye shadow from Korea, I think I've only tried Etude House and SkinFood.
I didn't have too much expectation on them actually. BUT after I tried them, I was very satisfied with the result. I personally don't really like too powdery eye shadows because they tend to get into the eyes and don't last long. So its really good that these are not the powdery type that I don't prefer. They are kind of smooth and creamy. They are very long lasting and adhere to the eyelids very well... I suggest to apply eye primer before the eye shadow for a longer lasting result :)
they are just so cute!
Design: Super cute transparent acrylic container which make it so convenient as I can grab the color I wanted easily

no. 22 is a matte type where I can use it as a base or use it on its own for a natural daily look
no. 08 and no. 13 contain tiny glitters which will make my eye makeup stands out a little more!

I actually used these 3 colors for my eye makeup sometimes when I went shopping and they blended well together!

What I love about them:
- very pigmented
- last long
- very smooth and easy to blend
- cheap

Made in Korea
1.6g each
Price: RM19.9 (I got them cheaper because they're on sale :D )

Frozen (2013) review

I didn't plan to watch this animation at first, I was just accompanying my friend. but it was nice. I like the storyline and especially the songs!

Frozen is a musical animation released by Walt Disney. Elsa and Anna are princess of Arendelle. Else (is also a Queen) has icy power where she can create ice/snow... this surprised me as I always imagined I have the same power too when I was a kid, well,of course I didn't just imagine I have icy power, I also imagined to have fire power, etc. haha!

I love the songs especially 'Do You Want To Build A Snowman' and 'Let It Go'. 'Let It Go' sang by Demi Lovato is also very nice! I kept singing these 2 songs after I came back from the animation until now =.=

photo credit to my friend, Linda :D

I highly recommend this animation especially for those that love Disney (me!!!) and animation. Elsa and Anna are definitely different from the other fairy tales princesses. oh! and the cute little snowman, Olaf, be sure to not miss him! he's so cute and he loves warm hugs and he didn't know that he could've melt in summer!
Olaf!

 Overall, love it!

TheBodyShop Cranberry Joy Body, Room & Linen Spritz

well, I'm not a big fan of perfume thingy, I didn't use perfume, but this was on HUGE sale (again, haha!) and it smell sooo sweet, so I bought it anyway. :D

big bottle!

I spray this into my closet, bed sheet, room and sometimes on body.. everything smell sooo sweet and nice!
this scent will be young teenage girls' favorite, but not mine, haha, the scent is nice and sweet but it's definitely not my favorite.
If I found a nice refreshing scent (I hope so), I'll definitely buy that perfume :)

not going to repurchase this.

Price: RM49 ( I bought it at half price :D )

TheBodyShop Elderflower Unperfumed Eye Gel review

I saw this on sale at TheBodyShop online store, so I thought I should have a try on this as I always wanted an eye gel because I have really serious eye bags and dark circles and starting to get eye wrinkles(thanks to myself that always stay up super late every night, haha)!

it claimed to be able to moisturize, soothe and refresh the skin around the eye area, reducing the appearance of puffiness.

transparent gel

I have used this for a few months, I don't see any puffiness reduced. I also didn't feel any soothing or refreshing, maybe because I didn't put in the fridge for an extra cooling sensation but I do feel that it's a bit moisturizing.

so basically I just use this as a moisturizing skincare for my eye area.

Repurchase? Nope.

Ingredients
Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Hamamelis virginiana (Witch Hazel Distillate) (Astringent), Sambucus nigra (Elderflower water) (Natural Additive), Alcohol Denat. (Solvent/Diluent), Glycerin (Humectant), Triethanolamine (pH Adjuster), Carbomer (Viscosity Modifier), Imidazolidinyl Urea (Preservative), Methylparaben (Preservative), Denatonium Benzoate (Denaturant).

Averine Cover Spot review

I experienced severe acne about a year+ ago. I was introduced to use Averine Cover Spot when I had facial treatment at Aster Spring. I was satisfied with the coverage when the staff applied the concealer on my super red face right after my treatment. I asked her that is it ok to apply this right after my treatment, she said yes and this concealer will even help the healing. I bought it right away (plus it was on sale, discount RM25!)!

Averine Cover Spot claimed to be able to:
- cover marks
-boost up acne healing while aiding in blemish clearing.

shade: medium

It's great that it contains salicylic acid to help prevent breakout and inflammatory. so it is actually a 2-in-1 concealer that covers and at the same time helps to heal acnes! The best part, it won't clog my pores which means I won't get more acnes from this! I tried many makeup to cover my acnes, they just make things worst.

It's coverage is light to medium. It is buildable where I can layer it until I have the maximum coverage I wanted. it is great to cover redness and blemishes. It has a creamy texture which means it won't turn cakey..

finishing 2nd stick~~~ ^^

my backup~ since they are on sale, so I get two as my backup :p

Price: RM68
**UPDATE 12 June 2015
Last month (May 2015) I went to Aster Spring and the price has already increased to RM72

available at Aster Spring.
