Yuan Heart leaf Houttynia Soap and Yuan Sishen Chinese Herbs Soap review

Yup, I am a fan of Yuan Soap! Since I've started using Yuan Soap, it never disappoint me, well, so far. I just can't stop loving this organic soap! My face condition has improved a lot, excluding days where I have hormonal acnes and days where I stayed up super late! XD

OKAYYY, back to the review.
I'll start with Yuan Heart Leaf Houttynia Soap 阿源鱼腥草皂

Product description in Chinese.
It claimed to:
--Rejuvenate skin
--Gently purify skin which let your pores 'breathe freely'.

This might be the least favourite among the Yuan soap I've tried. Of course it is not because it gave me adverse effect. It is because I don't see much improvement on my skin condition. It still did what it claimed somehow, my clogged pores problem was a little better.

Ingredients: Houttuynia juice (houttuynia cordata), Napier grass juice (Pennisetum purpureum), Tea Tea Oil (Melaleuca Alternifolia), Eucalyptus Oil, olive oil(Olea europeoa, coconut oil(Cocos Nucifera).

Price: RM35.90

Price and Ingredients
It claimed to help dry and rough skin to have softer skin with improved elasticity. Well, as usual, it does what it claimed. My skin is softer and smoother! This one definitely moisturize my skin, although not much because it is not as drying compare to other Yuan soap especially Yuan Lemon.

But since I have acne prone skin with acne scars, I will not repurchase this any sooner because I want to get rid my acne scars first as this soap does not help on fading the scaring, well, not for me at least.

Yuan Soap review - Lemon

YUP YUP YUP~ another Yuan Soap review! haha :D

This is actually a repurchase. I finished the 1st one and it's soooo good that I have to repurchase this!
I finished it during my exam week, it took me 2 weeks to go to the mall(I bought this at midvalley) to repurchase it, had breakouts without this :'(

So, lets get in to the topic!

Lemon soap is for oily skin with large pores.
what it claimed
- brightens skin by removing old/dead skin cells
- tightens pores
- lightens pigmentation
- control sebum production

well... it does what it claimed! or else I wouldn't get another one XD
I noticed that it brightens my skin and my acne scars are less visible now. I have large and clogged pores especially at my nose and cheeks area (I believed that a lot of people are having the same problems), I noticed that my skin is getting better.

However, I don't recommend this to acne skin, but if you have acne-prone skin (like me), maybe you can give it a try :) Because you might want to solve your acne problem first then only you switch to this, just like I did. Normally I will change my skincare when my skin's condition changed.

I also don't recommend this to dry skin.

This soap will be great for people that stay in hot and humid places and need a refreshing soap (like me, in Malaysia =.= HOT! HOT! HOT! )

Review on Yuan soap -- Mung Bean & Job's Tear and Purple Gromwell & Roselle

As this is my first product review, I decided to write on the product that I loved and trusted the most currently--- Yuan soap. Yuan soap is from Taiwan, they are natural and 100% free from artificial fragrances and colours. As a bonus, they are handmade!  Ah Yuan started to make soap when he was around 40years old as he experienced skin sensitivity. There are 5 series- flower, seed, tree, herb and special. There are more than 20 soaps. I started to use Yuan soap few months ago, I think it was around early July. This is also my first time using totally natural soap. I fell in love with it! For now, I have tried 2 only, and I can’t wait to try others!
I have tried one of the seed series, Mung Bean & Job’s Tear soap and now I’m using Purple Gromwell & Roselle soap which is one of the herb series. I’m satisfied with both soaps.
One piece of soap can last 1month or maybe more! The key of storing it is that you have to store it away from water, try to keep it dry when you are not using it or else it will melt fast! I chopped it into 6 small cubes, it will last longer as I’ll just put 1 into my container and the rest stay dry until I need them.
chopped them into 6 little cubes :D

lather up quite well too :D

Review for Mung Bean & Job’s Tear

My reasons for buying this were because it claimed to deep cleanse, brighten skin tone, remove daily makeup, suitable for people that always use makeup and expose to sun. Well, I apply makeup almost every day, exposed to sun quite a lot and I have serious acne problem and  acne scarring so I thought I should give it a try to deep cleanse my face every day and brighten my skin as I have quite lot of acne scars.
For the first few days, I experienced breakout when using this but then I thought that as it supposed to deep cleanse so maybe it’s deep cleansing my clogged pores and all the dirt, etc were coming out and my skin was probably adjusting itself to new skincare. So I kept on using it. Lucky that I did give it a chance and keep using it, breakout stopped and my acne and acne scars reduced a lot. It did brighten my skin! My redness problem also reduced quite a lot! At first, I felt that the smell was too strong, and I personally don't like herbs scent but after a few days, I started to get use to it, and now, I kind of like it.
Ingredients: Olive (Olea Europaea) Oil, Mineral Water, Mung Bean (Phaseolus Radiatus) Powder, Job’s Tears (Coix Lacryma) Seed Extract, Clove ( Eugenia Caryophylata) Oil, Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Cassia) Oil.

Price: RM27.90
Rating: definitely 5 stars!

Review for Purple Gromwell & Roselle soap

After I finished my Mung Bean & Job’s Tear soap, I decided to try another one. This time I chose this because it claimed to detoxify and suitable for pimple-proned skin, and clogged pores which will give you blackheads and whiteheads. After I’ve cleared most of my stubborn acne, I thought I should work on those blackheads especially on the nose area and whiteheads where I have most at my jawline.
I experienced the same situation, for the first few days, it break me out but it’s just some tiny pimples. I was totally fine with it as it’s working and adjusting itself. After that my skin back to normal. Yes, I still have pimples sometimes, it’s totally normal because everyone will have pimples here and there sometimes plus with my daily makeup. But it’s not like how my skin used to be, they are not huge acne anymore, now, they are just small pimples which can be disappeared quite easily. For this soap, I didn’t notice any skin brightening effect, instead, I noticed that my blackheads reduced a lot! My redness is also still under control J

Ingredients:Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Water, Coconut (Cocos Nucifera) Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Lithospermum Officinale Root Extract, Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract, Verbena Officinalis Leaf Extract, Pogostemon Cablin Oil, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil

Rating: 5stars!

I highly recommend Yuan soap, I mean its 100% natural and free from those harsh chemicals, how bad can it be! Especially for those with skin problems that bothered you for a long time ( I totally understand that feeling :'( ), why don't give it a try.
