Dermalogica Gentle Soothing Booster & Ultracalming Cleanser review

I was recommended to both of the products after I did my facial treatment at Aster Spring. It was about a year ago. Both of them are quite costly. I think they're the most expensive products I have ever owned especially Gentle Soothing Booster because it's so small and expensive. haha! I will do both of the products' review but more on the Gentle Soothing Booster :D

Dermalogica Gentle Soothing Booster (30ml)

- it claims to help soothe, hydrate and calm irritation caused by sensitivity and breakouts.

- FREE from artificial colour, fragrance and oil.

- contains Red Raspberry Extracts and Honey to calm and soothe.

- suitable for all skin types.

At first I actually kind of hated it because I thought it just make my face oilier even faster and didn't help with my sensitivity and acne-prone skin. I actually stopped using it for quite a while.
But after that I thought I should give it a chance. so I tried it back, with a lesser amount. I just around 3drops for my whole face. and I just love it! from that 'lesser amount trial', I knew that I should just use a little amount.
It does what it claimed. although my skin is not severe acne skin anymore but it is still very sensitive and acne-prone. For the last few months, my skin is more on combination skin where T-zone is oily and U-zone is dry instead of oily for my whole face. then I started to apply this focus only on my U-zone, I skipped applying this on my T-zone. I used this mostly as my moisturizer in my night skincare routine.
It soothes and calms my redness and also hydrates my U-zone. If I only apply this on my U-zone, I'll just use 2drops. It is quite concentrated, so its enough for me because I hate those thick and heavy moisturizers, I just something very light to lightly hydrate my face.
I especially love to use this after I scrub my face, it feels good!
This small bottle can actually last for a long time (more than 6months according to my usage amount, it can last longer, maybe), it's sad that I almost finish it :(

Price: RM210 (I'm not sure the exact price because I bought this a year ago)

Ingredients: Propylene Glycol, Water/Aqua/Eau, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Butylene Glycol, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Tilia Cordata Flower Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hypericum Perforatum, Honey (Mel), Phenoxyethanol, Tetrasodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Benzophenone-4, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben.

Ultracalming Cleanser (250ml)

(picture from the internet, I didn't take picture of this)

- it claims to calm the redness from sensitivity.

-FREE from artificial fragrances and colour.

It is gel-like texture. I think yes, it kind of calm and soothe my sensitive skin but it didn't help my acne problem. oh, this can be finished quite fast, it only last me for about 3months.
The staff at Aster Spring told me that this can be used to remove the Averine Cover Spot concealer which I bought there too, so I guess this can remove light makeup such as sunblock as well. Just massage it into the skin and rinse off with warm water or if you're removing makeup, its better that you tissue off with cotton.
I won't repurchase this because I find it quite similar with Physiogel Cleanser, which is a much much much cheaper alternative. They worked almost the same.

Price: RM160 (I'm not sure the exact price for this too)

Ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Bisabolol, Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Glycerin, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Salix Alba Bark Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract, Butylene Glycol , Pentylene Glycol , Hydroxyphenyl , ropamidobenzoic Acid, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Fumaria Officinalis Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Fumaric Acid, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Panthenol, Acrylates/ C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate, rosspolymer, Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Aminomethyl Propanol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Disodium EDTA.

P/S: if you are very concern of what you are putting on your face, then you might want to google up details information about disodium EDTA because both products contained disodium EDTA. However, there are a lot of well known beauty products that contain this chemical too.
But for my personal opinion, I prefer to get products that are more natural because their prices normally are in this range too, so, yeah, I'm not going to repurchase these.

Alcohol allergic

I found out that I have alcohol allergic last week in Chinese New Year. it's not fun at all to have this. after I drank a few cups of alcohol drink, I felt my throat was swollen and experienced a little breathing difficulty but it's just a while because I stopped drinking. I thought that it was just my asthma (not a serious severe asthma).. after I got home, I started to feel itchy around my neck, arms, chest and back, then my skin obviously become red because I scratched them..haha

after 2 days, I went to doctor because it was still very itchy and the redness was still very bad. The doctor wanted to give me an injection as it will heal faster, but I refused, I chose tablets and cream.

yesterday midnight I went out with my friends to celebrate my birthday and I drank a little, btw, my past allergic was still there, SO, yup, it became worst  =,=

it was super red and itchy!! I still feel itchy now.. but it's much better as I applied cream and ate medicine that doctor prescribed for me. I also drank a lot of water to flush everything out.

redness on my back

the redness already reduced half when I took these pictures. still very red but the photo didn't really show it.

So, here are the medicine that my doctor prescribed for me:

Cream

H-CORT cream

apply to the area affected (obviously, haha)
it is not greasy

Tablets

please do go to the doctor ASAP if you experience ANY allergic. everyone maybe different. don't try any medicine without advice from the doctor/pharmacist .

UPDATE:
side effect (skin peeling) that I started to have on my skin within 1-2weeks. I'm guessing its the cream that resulted this because only the skin area that I applied the cream was peeling.
